GLAMOUR couple Michael Clarke and Lara Bingle are preparing to announce their engagement. The model, 20, has confided that she and the 26-year-old Test cricketer will seal their union with a diamond ring. The two have turned to society jeweller Nic Cerrone to create a setting for a huge, five-carat diamond.
Clarke and Bingle were in a playful mood last week at a function for Speedo, for which Bingle is an ambassador. "You're as bad as Lara," said Clarke, named man of the match after captaining Australia to victory in the Twenty20 match against India at the MCG on Friday night. "No more pressure - we have plenty of time." The couple have been dating for about a year. Clarke has described Bingle as "the love of my life, and the best thing that's happened to me". Bingle lives with her parents at Yowie Bay, south Sydney, while Clarke lives in nearby Lilli Pilli. They have discussed moving in once Clarke's home is renovated.
